A close friend of veteran actress Zeenat Aman has said that she was going through a lot of trauma these days., Last month Zeenat had filed a case of stalking and molestation against a businessman at the Juhu police station. She followed that up with a complaint on Thursday night at the same police station, accusing him of rape.

“Zeenat has been disturbed. She had come out of a shell in 2004 after being quiet for a long time. She had been in a relationship with a younger man in those days and had emerged out of it wanting to something for her son, by according him a launch in Bollywood,” says the friend.

“Zeenat is not the type who would have gotten into a full-fledged relationship with anyone at this time. She was very keen to further her son’s career and get him a good break. Despite being in the film industry for so long, she never went to her old friends from there and asked them for help. She wanted to try doing it on her own steam. That is the reason she must have come to this businessman guy,” adds the friend.

The Qurbani actress has maintained a stoic silence on the matter with the media thus far.
