It’s been 11 years since Akshay Kumar won hearts as the turbaned superstar of Singh Is Kinng. And the makers are finally set to make a sequel to the hit film, once they get the legal logistics sorted out. Rumour has that this time around, they plan to cast Arjun Kapoor as their leading man.

The Singh Is Kinng franchise has been embroiled in a dispute regarding ownership between producer Vipul Shah and director Anees Bazmi for a while now. Three years ago, Akshay even went ahead and made a barely-camouflaged sequel called Singh Is Bling with Prabhudeva.

Now, it looks like an official sequel is finally on the cards, and Vipul Shah has clearly taken a liking to Arjun Kapoor. After having him fill Akshay’s shoes in the sequel to Namaste London, he wants him to be a part of his next project too.
