Sonakshi Sinha’s fitness journey has indeed been inspiring to many. The actress is in a happy space these days and feels, fitness is important irrespective of what profession you’re in.

She states, “Fitness should be a way of life. Whether you are an actor or housewife it should be an important part of anyone's life.”  She strongly believes that everyone owes fitness to himself or herself. “I refuse to believe that somebody can’t take out 30 to 40 minutes a day for themselves just to get any kind of workout, even a walk,” she adds.

The actress is in her best shape these days and feels she’s found the answer to everlasting fitness in Pilates. “I have been working out for the longest time. It is a big part of my life and that does not necessarily mean I enjoyed it,” she quips. Adding, “I hate going to the gym, so I replaced it with yoga then weight training and swimming. I kept switching until I started working on pilates. I started enjoying it because the results were showing and the results are the biggest motivators.”

Sonakshi further explains that as a kid, fitness came naturally to her, “for me growing up was never about looks. I wanted to be a fashion designer, at one point, then a tennis player and then an astronaut, which is why looks were never at the forefront for me. I was a complete tomboy. My whole life revolved around playing sports,” she concludes.
