The superhit 2016 Marathi film Vazandar about two overweight girls who get onto a mission to lose weight to attain size zero is now going to be remade in Hindi.

Produced by Vidhi Kasliwal and directed by Sachin Kundalkar the film dealt with multiple comic situations in the lives of the two girls played by actors Sai Tahmankar and Priya Bapat.

For the Hindi version now, Vidhi who has earlier directed Isi Life Mein for Sooraj Barjatya will be directing the remake.

“It is a very funny film and with women-based films also making it big purely on the basis of the content, Vidhi is keen to remake the same film in Hindi now and has approached a couple of A-listers to be a part of the film. Sources inform that she is talking to two actresses who are considered ‘healthy’ in the film circles so that the casting is right,” informs our source.

“The second half of the film was not as good and Vidhi has now reworked the script so that the second half is also taut enough. You have that option whenever you are remaking a film and realise that soon,” adds the source.

Vidhi also happens to be Sooraj Barjatya’s niece. So it is time to Weight and Watch!
