Taapsee’s Manmarziyaan has more takers in the south

The actress is immensely popular in the south Indian film industries and fans are eager to watch whatever she has to offer.

Actress Taapsee Pannu seems to be having a great year all round. After delivering critically acclaimed performances in Soorma and Mulk, she’s back with yet another gem – Manmarziyaan. And thanks to her popularity in the south, the film seems to be doing surprisingly well in those markets too.

One wouldn’t expect a film like Manmarziyaan, which has a distinctive Punjabi flavour to it, to be well-received by south Indian audiences. But it looks like the film’s leading lady has done the trick.

“The makers of Manmarziyaan are increasing the number of screens and shows in the south because of Taapsee’s immense popularity,” a source reveals. The actress’ fans are so eager to watch her again, that even a Hindi film will do.

Apart from Taapsee, the film directed by Anurag Kashyap features Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal in the lead.
