A film like Go Goa Gone was a welcome change for the Indian audience. And, soon after the success of this zombie comedy film, the audience was waiting for the sequel.

The makers of the film, Raj and DK were also keen to go ahead with the sequel but now Raj reveals that the film has been pushed to next year.

“Go Goa Gone is not in the plate for this year. So, probably we are looking at 2020,” says Raj Nidimoru.

When Raj was asked about the reason for the delay, he says, “There are a lot of logistical factors. There are several actors and partners involved. So, logistically it takes time for these films to go on floors. If a film is solely in my hand, I would put it out as fast as I can. Stree was super quick from the time we wrote. If there are too many people involved, it takes time to put out.”

The horror-comedy starring Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari was a fun ride with the zombie element.

Is he planning to repeat all the characters from Go Goa Gone? “Ideally, I would love to have everybody in the sequel as well. I have met all the actors and they all loved the story and they all want to do it. It is just a matter of logistics.” And, will he be shooting the sequel in Goa? “I would like to shoot in Goa but there is an element in the story for which we might look elsewhere also. So, I can’t give out much right now,” said Raj.

Interestingly, the makers are also planning to have creatures from another planet for the sequel.
