Bobby Deol was a rising star in the ’90s but his stardom faded away when the Gupt actor delivered one dud after the other. Among a few projects he lost out on was Imtiaz Ali’s blockbuster film, Jab We Met.  Bobby was Imtiaz’s first choice for the movie. In fact, it was the Barsaat actor who even suggested Kareena Kapoor for the lead and even brought the producers on-board for the film. However, Imtiaz announced the film with Kareena and Shahid Kapoor as lead actors.

A self-confessed Imtiaz fan to this day, Bobby maintains that he will watch his films only if the Jab Harry Met Sejal filmmaker casts him in his upcoming projects. He says, “I have no ill-feelings towards him. I am a huge admirer of his work. But I will watch his movies only when I work with him. He is a friend. We were supposed to work together but it didn’t materialise.”

Bobby was recently seen in Poster Boyz along with his brother Sunny Deol. Up next, he will be seen in Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 with his father Dharmendra and brother Sunny. He says, “With Yamla Pagla Deewana, we are working hard on the script since the previous film didn’t work. We don’t want to disappoint our audience. I am really thrilled because it’s always fun to work with my father.”
