According to a Mint report, YRF is expected to earn around Rs 140 crore from the film's sale of rights alone. It has reported that online streaming giant Amazon Prime Video and Sony Pictures Networks, which already are in a partnership with the YRF, will be buying sales rights of the film for around Rs 70 crore each. This will yield 70 per cent of the film's budget well before its release.

It also said that the YRF may earn around Rs 12 crore from the music rights of the film. As per reports, the film's budget was around Rs 200 crore. Which clearly indicates that profits will not depend on what comes in from the box office alone.

Thugs of Hindostan is expected to be released across a huge number of theaters - over 4500 screens in India and across 1500 overseas screens. The number is bigger than this year's highest grossing film 'Sanju' - which was released across 4000 screens in India, and over 1300 screens overseas.

Bankrolled by YRF, Thugs of Hindostan is helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who previously directed Aamir's 'Dhoom 3'. Also starring Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles, the film is all set for its grand release on November 8, 2018.
