MG Motor India invests Rs 150 cr in new corporate office

New Delhi: MG Motor India, a wholly-owned arm of China's SAIC Motor Corp, on Friday inaugurated its corporate headquarters in Gurgaon.

The company said it has invested Rs 150 crore on the commercial space which will also house its flagship vehicle showroom and brand store on the ground floor to show-case its products.

Spread over 46,000 square feet, the new office will be ready in the next two months. The company plans to launch its first model, premium SUV Hector, by middle of this year.

"India is going to be a key market for the MG brand and the new headquarter reflects our long-term commitment to be an integral part of the thriving Indian auto market, in addition to our Halol manufacturing facility, which was inaugurated in September 2017," MG Motor India President and Managing Director Rajeev Chaba said in a statement.
