Pune: Skoda, the Czech car giant on Monday introduced a new variant of its premium sedan Octavia with price starting at Rs 15.49 lakh for the petrol variant.

The Octavia Corporate Edition’s diesel variant is priced Rs 16.99 lakh at pan India showroom.

The Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition is the new entry-level variant in the lineup. The Corporate Edition gets the same-level of equipment as seen on the Ambition trims.

The Octavia Corporate Edition is powered by the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 150HP and 250Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 16.7 kmpl. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/hr in 8.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 219 km/hr.

On the other hand, the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel motor produces 143HP and 320Nm of torque, which is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as well. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in 8.4 seconds, and has a top speed of 218 km/hr. The diesel-manual Octavia is claimed to return 21 kmpl.

The Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition features a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with apple carplay, android auto and mirrorlink compatibility, dual-zone automatic climate control, beige upholstery, a cooled glove box, LED DRLs, 16-inch alloys and rear parking sensors.

Its safety kit includes four airbags, ABS with EBD, hydraulic brake assist (HBA), anti-slip regulation (ASR), motor speed regulation (MSR), electronic differential lock (EDL), electronic stability control (ESC) and multi-collision braking (MKB).
