Pune: Avan Motors, an electric scooter startup, has unveiled its new smart electric scooter Trend E at the Automobile Expo 2019 in Bangalore last weekend.

The Trend E is the latest addition to its Xero series and it is powered by a lithium-ion battery and boasts a top speed of 45 km/h. Last year, Avan had first launched the Xero+ e-scooter in India priced at Rs 47,000. The Xero+ claims a range of 60 km on a single charge of its battery. With the top speed of 45 km, the new e-scooter Trend E covers a distance of 60 km with a single battery charge and 110 km with a double battery setup.

The Pune-based company claimed that it has a full battery charge will take between two to four hours. The Trend E scooter is equipped with a hydraulic telescopic front suspension and a coil spring rear suspension. The scooter features alloy wheels, with disc and drum brakes on the front and rear wheels, respectively, and can take a max load of 150 kg.

"With the Trend E, the latest e-scooter in the Xero series, Avan Motors' extensive R&D has led to the creation of a scooter that's a powerful mix of tech and design to meet the needs of the modern rider," Pankaj Tiwari, Business Development Head at Avan Motors, said.
