Autopsy says hotel worker pushed
BY OUR CORRESPONDENT
Kolkata
Aug. 13: The preliminary post-mortem report of Prasun Adhikari, caretaker of Ritz Bengal Hotel, substantiated the police’s claim that he was thrown from the terrace and did not fall while climbing down the pipe.
According to the post-mortem report, there was a fracture in Prasun’s left ankle and a burn injury on his left thigh. Multiple internal haemorrhages were found on his body, with no trace of blood from either his nose or mouth. No alcohol was also found in his blood.
"The burn injury suggests that he had fallen on the high tension wire before hitting the ground. The very fact that he fell on the wire situated at a distance of five feet from the building suggests that he was pushed," an investigating officer reasoned. Meanwhile, Romi Nag Chowdhury continued to be untraced. Insiders revealed that hours after the incident took place, she left the hotel on Saturday morning in a bus owned by the production team.
